MAZE Design Basel: a new show dedicated to collectible design joined the MAZE constellation.
In June 2025, MAZE Design Basel brought together a select group of leading galleries specializing in collectible design during Basel’s international art week.
Following the cancellation of Design Miami/Basel, and given Basel’s continued importance as a global art hub, these galleries united under the MAZE banner to create an alternative event focused on quality, expertise, and meaningful dialogue.
The salon took place in the Offene Kirche Elisabethen, a spectacular neo-Gothic venue located opposite Basel’s Kunsthalle. Each gallery presented a carefully curated stand reflecting its unique vision of collectible design, ranging from post-war decorative arts to contemporary creations.
Participants included Galerie Gastou, Jousse Entreprise, Ketabi Bourdet, Kreo, Laffanour – Galerie Downtown, Meubles et Lumières, Mitterrand, Pierre-Marie Giraud, Salon 94, Thomsen Gallery, and Thomas Fritsch – Atrium.
MAZE Design Basel marked a new chapter for collectible design in the city, offering a moment of focus and renewal during one of the most intense weeks of the global art calendar.
The second edition of MAZE Design Basel will take place from June 14 to 17, 2026, continuing to provide collectors and design enthusiasts with an inspiring experience at the heart of Basel’s vibrant art scene.
